How to Plan an Ad with a Cartoon

How to Plan an Ad with a Cartoon
by Judy Cutler, Art Director for JessPerna.com

Advertisers choose to use cartoons to sell their products and services because most people really enjoy them and it endears the customers to the company.  In a difficult economy period of time an adorable ad will cheer up potential customers and they appreciate it.  Most of us remember a cartoon character more that we remember an unknown actor’s face.   Think of the ads you remember with funny, cartoon characters who are company mascots and you will quickly get the point.

The next step is what unique character to create.  Artist Jess Perna can draw a cartoon using the face of the company owner as the base of the character.  See a few below.  He can also create a character from his imagination either a human, robot, superhero or animal.

We work with you to decide the color scheme and background that best suits your needs.  The art is drawn on a compute by hand.  This is referred to as “Hand Drawn Digital Art”.  The computer is the tool but the artist must use his drawing skills.  It is much the same as a pencil and paper.  They can’t do it without the artist.  They are just tools valuable ones but not capable of creating without the artist.

I will be writing more about this on future blogs.  Please subscribe and stay tuned.  To see a few thousand of Jess’ creations visit JessPerna.com
